What Makes this Congress Unique
Several factors make this Congress 2007 Unique. First, is its recursive nature: we are using the latest technologies of Concurrent Distributed Meetings to discuss concurrent distributed meetings. Second, the papers, to be presented by University Researchers and Enterprise Project Practitioners, are all on the topic of managing Virtual teams. Third will be the blending of two different sets of technologies, to accomodate two different audiences: a) Universities and Enterprises who have fast streaming video capabilities and b) Individuals who participate from fast internet workstations.
Why You Want To Participate
Increasingly, we are faced with the need to manage distributed teams. Yet many of us have little to no experience with the technologies, the dynamics of interaction, and the need to maximize our management and communication methods.
What are the experiences, the best practices, and the top secrets of those in the know? How could the technologies support Virtual PM Communities of Practice or Chapters? Who is best suited to virtual projects? What added PM Competences does this new way of managing add for you? How can you use the secrets of Virtual Teams to improve your in-person effectiveness, as well?
Proceedings DVD
After the Congress, we plan to make available a DVD set of the proceedings.
