July 05 Membership News

To the members:
Just your friendly ole membership director here. I just wanted to remind everyone that while we are in the process of getting the certification program underway we do have a couple of other initiatives that we are providing.
High among those is the PMCoP (Project Management Community of Practice). The PMCoP provides our members with the ability to set up either a local or virtual meeting place and discuss topical matters relating to Project Management. You don’t have to do anything fancy, just a few people sitting around a table or attached to a computer in the case of the virtual CoP constitutes one type of CoP that anyone can put together.
We will be dedicating an area on the web site specifically to the PMCoP. Until that time you can get in touch with me (see address below) and I will provide you with the information and materials you can use to get going.
We are providing some initial presentations that can be used for either local or virtual CoPs and directions as to how to setup a virtual CoP. One example is here, on the asapm website (1mb download, a self-contained Flash show).
Every
Project Team is always in need of good people. The membership Project Team
is facing several challenges over the next year and could use your help.
If you wish to get involved please contact me here: Contact John.
