About the Application
The Lite version (free) of the PM CompModel tool is based on Microsoft Access version 2010. It runs on Microsoft
Windows and does require a copy of Microsoft Access on your system. If you do not
have a version of Microsoft Access 2010, see the instructions for a free download of the 2010 Access runtime below. The PM CompModel tool featured on this page can be used on one workstation, to assess yourself and one other person; it is not intended for network use.
Free for Visitors
Visitors to our site can download the Single-User CompModel Lite for no charge. To download PM CompModel,
click here (7.5 MB download, requires Microsoft Access on your PCInstall it on your system, review the helpful documentation, and begin to improve your PM Competence! This licence gives you the free two-person CompModel Lite version (one's a bonus!).
Required Microsoft Access 2010. You do not need this if you already have a copy of Microsoft Access 2010 on your Windows-based computer. If you need to add Access to your system, download the appropriate Runtime from this location on the Microsoft website: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/details.aspx?FamilyID=57a350cd-5250-4df6-bfd1-6ced700a6715&displaylang=en. The installation of PM CompModel will not run without Access on your system.
Visitors with
additional requirements (PM Consultants, Project Managers who wish to assess their team, or those who wish to use PM CompModel for their organization) can license a Pro version from asapm (see the additional options, below).
Free for asapm Members
asapm members can download the CompModel SixPack Lite version, which can be used for
assessing the Competences of yourself and up to six other team members or project stakeholders. Members have access to this SixPack Lite download from our Members Only website, which is now integrated with the IPMA Family site. This is a unique benefit of your asapm membership. This version also requires that you have a
copy of the above-mentioned Microsoft Access 2010 or the Access Runtime on your system.
This free downloaded version includes:
• The PM CompModel application, which requires Microsoft Access 2010+ ir the Runtime on your system.
• A 16-page booklet that describes the background (Adobe Acrobat) of the CompModel process.
• A 16 page CompModel User Guide (Adobe Acrobat); be sure to read this!
• An explanatory slideshow (in pdf), also available on the preceding page.
CompModel Pro versions listed below also require the above-mentioned Run-time version of Microsoft Access 2010. All the Pro versions let you customize the model,
to modify the Competences, add enterprise-specific items, or change the Competence targets for different
roles. The Site Licenses and Consultant versions also allow you to redistribute your modified PM CompModel, sharing them with your customers or site.
