Learning Program Initiatives Learning Program Initiatives
In addition to helping you ask and answer key questions, and to help further
your learning, the asapm Education Program is starting with four initiatives
that we will focus on over the next year.
1. An asapm Competence Model
To assist you in answering the questions we suggested on the Learning
front page, we provide the asapm PM Competence Model. The asapm
Competence Model includes Competences for Project Sponsors,
Resource Managers, Project Office staff, three levels of Project Manager,
Team Members, and others. It helps savvy learners to answer the question,
what should be
the outcome
of learning?
2. Articles to Improve PM Learning Top
We are soliciting and publishing articles for our magazine, asapMag,
that can help you improve your Project Management methods, support best
practices in Project Management, or advance the practice. For example,
see our article in asapMag on the Hierarchy
of Objectives, by Robert Youker (retired, The World Bank). Bob is
an asapm Charter member. Powerful and clear objectives are
one of the most important project tools, and Bob's article provides
insight
to help you achieve them.
3. CE: Competence Enabler Database
For Members and Visitors asapm provides
the Competence Enabler program, our searchable registry of Project Management
Vendors. This is a database of providers who want to help you advance
your practice
of project management. You can scan the list of vendors and the services
they offer, or search the CE database for keywords of interest to you. Click
here to explore the CE DataBase. If you can think of other area
where CE could be useful to you, please let us know: CE
