The hands and hearts of its members are the lifeblood of a volunteer
organization. To create and sustain programs and other member benefits
we need your help and the help of new members. And so this year we announce
Version 2.0, the 2004 membership drive,
named “The
Shirt Off Our Back!” This membership drive ends December
31, 2004.
 We
have an asapm-embroidered logo shirt for
anyone who brings in 4 new members. Everyone is eligible: current members,
new members, your spousal
unit,
your neighbor … But
hurry! We have only 12 shirts to give away (the consensus among the last
year's contest winners is they wanted denim, as in the one on the right,
but you have other choices, too.)
How It Works
- Either sign up online, or download, complete and mail in a membership
form for yourself or another new member. At the bottom of the first
page,
fill
in the
name
of the
person
who is referring the new member. Get
the membership application form now.
- Send in the application form with your payment. The mailing address
and fax number are on the form.
- Whenever we have a winner, we'll notify you by email, verify your
mailing address, your size, and send your shirt. We'll also announce
the winner at the web site.
- When we have 12 winners, this particular membership drive ends (but
watch closely... there may be more!).
The Rules
Everyone really is eligible! However, we
know those great project minds are already at work, looking for the loopholes.
So we'll clarify a few points:
- To get a shirt, you need to get 4 people to join.
- If you are a new member, you can include yourself in the 4 people
you need to get a shirt or include yourself
in someone else's tally (so they will get the shirt) Sorry, the same
person cannot be counted twice.
- All membership categories will be recognized: Regular, Retired, Affiliate,
Student, and Life.
- If an application is incomplete or cannot be processed, we will notify
you by email. The application's new place in the contest queue will
depend on how the situation is resolved (email, fax, or postal mail).
- Members you have referred since January 1, 2004 and until December
31 2004 count toward your shirt award.
The Shirts:
The shirts are donated by board member Stacy Goff's company, ProjectExperts.
We will order the embroidered asapm-logo
shirts at the end of October when the contest is over and we have your
size
and shirt preference. In this order
we
will have either a denim shirt similar to the one pictured above,
or a polo shirt (men's or women's) to choose from. We
can also accomodate
other special
requests.
