Our Vision
asapm is the U.S.A.’s premier project manager competence-based credentialing organization and an advocate of effective project management practice throughout all organizations.
Good project management practice is widely known and appropriately applied by all levels of the organization.
Our Mission
We identify, collect, document, certify, develop, freely share, and promote effective Project and Program Management practices. We aid the exchange of Project and Program Management practices between experienced and new practitioners.
We serve the project management community through individuals and organizations that are involved in Projects and Programs.
Goal
The goal of the Society is to lead the mainstreaming of project management as
a profession, and as the key way to promote human welfare.
Objectives
To achieve its goal, the Society will:
a. Provide services to members that promote advancement in the profession.
b. Promote high standards of ethics, conduct, education, and achievement by
all project management practitioners.
c. Espouse the aims, objectives, and activities of the International Project
Management Association (IPMA).
Actions
To achieve its objectives, the Society’s actions include the following:
a. Build Business, Industry, and Government relationships to support their
project management needs.
b. Promote methods, standards, practices, education, and ethics of project
management to improve productivity.
c. Promote individual, team, and organization Competence to
perform project management.
d. Promote research into project management to improve the understanding
and practice of the profession.
e. Disseminate information and promote the free interchange of information
to advance the profession.
